SYMON Craft testing – the electromagnetic spectrum sensing module

At the beginning of October, testing of the SYMON Craft system took place near Troskovice with the participation of URC Systems, JISR Institute, LIAZ and the 53rd Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Regiment. This test was to verify the capabilities and possibilities of using the electromagnetic spectrum sensing module installation as a suspension under the SKYSPOTTER unmanned aerial vehicle (from LIAZ).

This installation allows the survey of electromagnetic spectrum at altitudes where traditional methods fail due to terrain curvature and obstacles in the form of trees, buildings,…

The main benefit is a “cleaner” spectrum, where even weaker signals are more visible, and, most importantly, greater efficiency.

Due to the ability of the resource to rotate with and module on its axis, it is possible to triangulate the signal and locate incoming signals much more accurately based on signal strength and antenna characteristics, locate incoming signals much more correctly.

When the SYMON system is connected with the AKRS system, part of the detections can then be performed and evaluated automatically.

SYMON Craft is a universal module and can be installed on various types of manned and unmanned vehicles, which means a wide range of applications in different industries.
